  "Description": "Intense parallel workloads can be difficult to monitor.\nPackages 'crew.cluster', 'clustermq', and 'future.batchtools'\ndistribute hundreds of worker processes over multiple\ncomputers. If a worker process exhausts its available memory,\nit may terminate silently, leaving the underlying problem\ndifficult to detect or troubleshoot. Using the 'autometric'\npackage, a worker can proactively monitor itself in a detached\nbackground thread. The worker process itself runs normally, and\nthe thread writes to a log every few seconds. If the worker\nterminates unexpectedly, 'autometric' can read and visualize\nthe log file to reveal potential resource-related reasons for\nthe crash. The 'autometric' package borrows heavily from the\nmethods of packages 'ps' <doi:10.32614/CRAN.package.ps> and\n'psutil'.",
